Faviola Lopez, LCSW
Director of School-Based Services, Mental Health Services
Faviola (Favi) Lopez, LCSW, is the School-Based Director of The Whole Child. She joined the organization in May 2009 as a Mental Health Therapist with the MAT program. In the last decade, Favi has risen through the ranks into supervisor roles prior to accepting her current position in 2017. In her role, she oversees a team of field therapists serving children to address behavioral and other mental health issues. She has created strong partnerships with school districts partnering with The Whole Child to facilitate linkage to agency services and provide onsite services and mental health resources.
Favi has over sixteen years of dedicated experience serving families and feels it is a privilege to be part of a family’s mental health journey. During college, Favi served as a recreation staff, providing activities for children living in Hillsides Group Home. She worked at Para Los Niños located in Downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row as an outpatient mental health therapist after completing her graduate-level internship. These experiences shaped her understanding of trauma-informed therapy and ignited a passion for serving children and families.
Favi holds a Masters of Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. A Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Pomona.
Favi enjoys going to Dodger games with her husband and going on adventures with their eight-year old and thirteen year old twins.
