about us
Our Mission & Vision
We empower families towards healing, health, and homes.
The Whole Child envisions a world that values the individual needs of each child and their family — a world that secures access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive and live a happy life.
Our History
The Whole Child is a non-profit organization established in 1957 by community members who saw a need for addressing the mental health and wellness of children in vulnerable communities. Founded as the Intercommunity Child Guidance Center, The Whole Child has expanded and grown to serve over 11,000 individuals per year and has evolved to include not only mental health services but also family housing, parent enrichment, and nutrition education services.
